Simple Recipes and Food Ideas?

I’m sick of asking my mother and others to cook for me. I’d like to be more independent and cook for myself. Are there any simple recipes? They can be any type of food, but Vegetarian and organic dishes are preffered. Thanks.

When I became vegetarian it was spaghetti for about a week. Then in discovered that I could sauté squash really easy and eat it with bow tie pasta. Then I discovered Morning Stars Chick’n Nuggets and Patties and ate those all the time. Now I make my own bread which is really easy. Not cooking meat and being worried about food safety really unleashed the chef in me! And when I need an little extra sustenance I peel an orange or slice up an apple. (I am not a big fan of salads). Just find a few staples like rice and pasta and then get creative!

What are the facts behind organic food?

Is it truly that much better for you than regular food? Please let me know the facts and/or personal experiences you’ve had with it. lol. thanks!
p.s. not trying to sound like an idiot here, but why does a lot of organic food smell funny? If I could get past the farm-y smell I could handle the flavorless taste.

Organic food IS better for you and it’s not the media brainwashing you, there is so much research by various sources to prove it, and not just because they’re grown organically, but because they are shown to have significantly higher concentrations of beneficial minerals and vitamins than conventional. You’re buying from the wrong place if your organic produce is flavorless and smells funny.. I have always found it to be sweeter and with better flavor and a natural smell. Organic food can be cheap, it just depends on what and where you buy and what season. I eat nothing but mostly raw food, so to me it’s important to buy organic food. If you’re going to buy cooked/processed foods, just stick to all natural(without preservatives/ artificial sweeteners/etc), it will be cheaper, organic produce is only a small fraction more expensive than their conventionally grown counterpart.

Even the FDA says it’s good for you, but they haven’t done any true testing.
